DON'T FLINCH

Finish your homework before 6 AM. It watches your face. Don't react.

Before the lights go out

Jump scares, loud sounds and flashing. Not for people with heart conditions or photosensitive epilepsy.
The game uses your camera to see if you flinch, and your mic to hear if you scream.
Play it at night, with headphones and the volume up. Keep one small light on your face so it can see you.
Under 13? Play with a grown-up. The game records clips of your face; they stay on this device unless you choose to share them.

Reduce flashing I'm wearing headphones (turns on scream detection)

Streamer mode

Your chat sends the scares. Enter your Twitch channel; nothing to install and no login.

Webcam already in OBS? In OBS press Start Virtual Camera, then pick OBS Virtual Camera on the next screen: OBS keeps your webcam and the game watches the same picture your stream shows.

How it works

It's midnight and your homework is due in the morning: 30 quick questions, 10 seconds each (run out of time and it counts as wrong). Finish the sheet before 6 AM (about five and a half minutes).
Things will happen. The camera watches for a head jerk, wide eyes, raised brows, a dropped jaw or looking away. With headphones on, the mic listens for a scream.
Each flinch costs you an eye (top right) and ruins the question you were on. Lose all three eyes and the night is over.
One try per question, and wrong answers are heard: each one opens the bedroom door a little further. Three, and something comes in.
Your score is how much you got right, less a bit for every flinch.
Some things only look in at you, and go. Everything you meet, jumping or watching, goes in your Journal.
Every scare is recorded as a vertical clip of your face. Share your worst flinch.
Everyone gets the same night each day. Compare with friends.

Face tracking runs in your browser (Google MediaPipe). Video is never uploaded anywhere.
