About
Free web games where the hero is you
Hiro is a small, independent game studio. We make games that open straight in your browser, on a computer, tablet or phone, with nothing to download or install, and every one of them is free to play.
What we make
Each Hiro game is built around one idea that puts you at the centre of it. In one you fly the ship. In the other, your own face is the controller.
TurboBall
Rocket soccer for one or two players. You steer a boost-powered ship around an arena and slam a glowing ball into the other team's goal. Play against robots at three skill levels, team up with a robot in two-on-two, share one keyboard with a friend, or play online with a six-letter room code. Matches last one to five minutes, and everything you unlock, from ship designs to goal explosions, is earned by playing. Read the TurboBall guide.
Don't Flinch
A horror game that watches your face through your webcam. It's midnight and your homework is due at 6 AM. Answer the questions while the house tries to scare you, and if you jump, gasp or look away, the game sees it. Every scare is saved as a short vertical clip, so you can show friends exactly how hard you jumped. The camera picture never leaves your device. Read the Don't Flinch guide.
How the games stay free
Hiro is paid for by advertising. TurboBall shows an occasional ad between matches, and you can choose to watch a short ad for an in-game reward such as coins, gems or a crate. Don't Flinch only shows an ad in its menu, never during a night. Nothing in our games is sold for real money: coins, gems and cosmetic items are all earned by playing.
Your account and saves
You never need an account to play. Your progress is kept in your own browser. If you'd like it to follow you between devices, sign in with Google from the bar at the bottom of the home page. We store your first name, a permanent ID from Google and your game saves, and nothing else. You can delete all of it at any time from the same menu. The full details are in our privacy policy, and the rules for using the site are in our terms.
Playing safely
- Don't Flinch has jump scares, loud sounds and flashing images. It warns you before every night and has a Reduce flashing setting. If you're sensitive to any of these, it isn't the game for you.
- Online matches in TurboBall show other players only your in-game name. There is no chat.
- Signing in requires you to be at least 13.
Contact and support
Found a bug, lost your progress, want something on the site removed, or just have an idea for a game? Email us at jonah@hiro.games. We read every message.
When you report a problem, tell us which game, what device and browser you were using, and what happened just before it went wrong. A screenshot helps a lot.
What's next
We're working on more games, and we add to the ones we have every week: new scares, new ships, new modes. The newest changes are listed under What's new on the home page.
