How to play
City Drive
A pixel city that's always running, free in your browser. Everyone on a server picks a side: Criminals grow and package made-up goods in their apartment and deliver them around town, and the Police try to catch them. Walk, drive, buy guns from the van, head down into the sewers, day and night.
Controls
- Move: WASD or the arrow keys. On a phone or tablet, drag anywhere on the screen.
- Get in / out of your car: F, or the big button next to your car.
- Use: E does whatever the big button says: go home, hand over a package, arrest, open the gun van, go down a manhole.
- Shoot: Space or click, once you have a gun. Q switches guns. Car radio: R.
- Phone: P, or swipe the phone at the bottom of the screen up. Swipe it down to put it away.
Playing as a Criminal
- Your home is a random apartment, and inside you're safe: police can't come in.
- Plant seeds in your pots and harvest them when they've grown.
- At the kitchen, mix a harvest with something from the cupboard (sugar, mint, chili, cocoa) to make a product. Every recipe is different and some pay a lot more.
- Package it at the table, then take up to 3 packages with you.
- Customers text orders to your phone with a pin on the map. Set the GPS, walk up to them and hand it over for cash.
- Every sale raises your bounty, and the bigger it is, the more the police want you.
- Big orders go out to every criminal at once: the first to deliver wins. The police hear about them 15 seconds later, without the location.
Playing as Police
- You start at the station with a patrol car and a pistol, and you're paid a wage every in-game hour.
- Walk up to a criminal and arrest them: you get their bounty, $60 for every package they had on them and a little of their cash. Arrest an innocent person and you're fined.
- Criminals look like everyone else. Watch for hand-overs, listen for the till, and use your phone: chat with criminals under a fake account and order from them. When they deliver, they're marked on your map.
- Change identity on your phone for a new fake account; it also deletes your chats with criminals.
The sewers
There's a manhole here and there in the roads. Open one and climb down: the sewers run under every road, dark but for your torch. Some customers wait down there and pay a bit more, and the police bots never come down. Other players can, though. If your GPS points into the sewers, follow the line to the manhole with the arrow over it.
Guns
The gun van parks somewhere in the city and moves every few minutes (it's on your map). It sells a pistol, an SMG, a shotgun and a rifle. A hit knocks a player down for a few seconds; no blood. Shooting people raises a criminal's bounty.
